We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining blow moulding machines to ensure the production of high-quality plastic products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate blow moulding machines according to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting of equipment and report any foreseeable issues.
  • Monitor, inspect and adjusting machine settings as required to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste and conduct quality checks on finished products.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain and ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience operating machinery within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • PET processing/operating blow moulding machinery experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • A reliable team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach and a focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
  • A valid forklift license is essential.
  • A high level of mechanical aptitude is essential, and a trade background is a bonus.
  • Ability to work on our night shift (10pm to 6am).
  • Quality control and defect analysis skills.
  • Good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
