About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Conference and Events Coordinator to join our team at Travel + Leisure Co. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for driving and delivering business into our hotel by providing exceptional customer service and coordination of conferences and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed quotations and proposals to clients to drive sales of conference facilities and ensure targets are achieved
- Host site inspections and ensure follow-up is completed to build strong relationships with clients
- Coordinate all aspects of conferences and events administration, operations, and accounting processes to ensure seamless execution
- Liaise with the Head Chef and General Manager to develop menus and banquet options, event orders, setups, guest feedback, and service levels
- Work closely with the Food and Beverage team to provide superior service levels during all conferences and events
Requirements
- Previous experience in conference and event sales in a hotel or similar industry is preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in food and beverage operations, including banquets, is preferred but not essential
- Strong sales and negotiation skills to drive business and build client relationships
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a can-do attitude
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure seamless execution of events
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, and previous knowledge of basic accounting processes is an advantage
- Positive attitude and self-motivation to achieve set targets
