Job Title: Medical Oncology Nurse Specialist

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
  • Accurately document nursing care and patient progress in medical records and communicate effectively with team members.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Recent clinical experience in acute care and a special interest in oncology nursing.
  • Able to identify deteriorating patients.
  • Capable of working independently, efficiently and organised during periods of high demand and activity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills with a customer focus.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
