Careers Counselor

About Breakthru, we empower individuals with disability, injury or health conditions to build meaningful careers.

We're looking for a Career Coach who can support our clients as they prepare for their next career steps. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their goals, strengths and support needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in employment services and be able to build strong relationships with clients. They'll also need to provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.

• Work with clients to create job-readiness plans that meet their individual needs
• Build relationships with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training
• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve performance benchmarks

• Job Planning and Coaching: Work with clients to identify their strengths, interests and career aspirations. Develop personalized job-readiness plans that address their unique needs and goals.
• Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with clients, employers and community partners to ensure seamless referrals and placements.
• Performance Management: Collaborate with internal teams to track client progress, identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance outcomes.

You bring:

• Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work)
• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury or health conditions
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
• Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
