About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crew Leader to join our team at Unitywater. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading a crew to undertake construction and maintenance activities, including pipe laying, connections to existing infrastructure, and modification and/or replacement of manholes, valve pits, and overflow structures.

You will be accountable for the implementation and monitoring of traffic and environmental management plans and site controls. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and on-the-job training to crew members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a crew to undertake construction and maintenance activities, including pipe laying, connections to existing infrastructure, and modification and/or replacement of manholes, valve pits, and overflow structures.
  • Implement and monitor traffic and environmental management plans and site controls.
  • Mentor and provide on-the-job training to crew members.
  • Assess and control hazards to work safely onsite in accordance with safe work method statements.
  • Read and interpret plans, and have knowledge of Unitywater systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Ability to lead a crew and mentor team members.
  • Experience in pipe laying for water and sewage infrastructure, and installation of metered water connections.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing and controlling hazards to work safely onsite.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, and knowledge of Unitywater systems and processes.
  • An open C Class Driver's License.
