About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a robust QHSE management system, ensuring alignment with industry standards and corporate policies.

  • Lead the development and implementation of QHSE standards, programs, and metrics for every Omya facility in Australasia.
  • Provide on-site support at individual plants, construction projects, quarries, and other facilities to document baseline compliance with standards, programs, and metrics.
  • Collaborate with facilities and entities to increase site capability to manage QHSE opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

The Sustainability Manager will provide leadership and support to Omya's facilities in Australasia, ensuring the QHSE Management System is effective for the region.

  • Implement Omya and local area WHS standards, programs, and metrics for every Omya facility in Australasia, aligned with industry standards and supporting overall H&S goals.
  • Provide on-site support at individual plants, construction, and M&A projects, quarries, and other facilities to document baseline compliance with standards, programs, and metrics.
  • Collaborate with facilities and entities to increase site capability to manage QHSE opportunities.
  • Develop QHSE standards, programs, and metrics for every Omya facility in Australasia, aligned with industry standards and supporting QHSE goals.
Reporting and Shared Responsibilities

The Sustainability Manager will report HSE incidents, legal non-compliance, and customer complaints to Area Management and Head of Sustainability – RAP in a timely manner.

  • Provide regular QSHE reports to the area management team and to the Head of Sustainability – RAP, showing performance to objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Support and implement continuous improvement of processes and systems to enhance internal and external customer satisfaction.
