Sales Engineer, Connectivity Specialist

Elevate your career as a Sales Engineer, Connectivity Specialist at NICE CXone, where you will play a pivotal role in our presales efforts. As an active participant, you will interface directly with end-users to conduct thorough discovery processes, gathering requirements that facilitate the engineering of voice and data interconnections.
This critical position enables customers or their partners to utilize our software platform. After confirming interest in using NICE CXone applications, you will finalize design components for voice and data services. You will also engage with existing customers requiring connectivity revisions or upgrades.
Your Impact- Provide direct support to NICE CXone sales and customer service organizations for pre- and post-sale connectivity engineering needs.
- Achieve mastery-level knowledge of voice and data services available through NICE CXone and communicate their full functionality and interconnection requirements to customers and their vendors.
- Develop imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent solutions for complex applications aligned with the organization's objectives.
- Thoroughly document proposals for standard and customized services and prepare detailed project plans and order summaries for presentation to end-users and their partners.
- Approve designs for sale upon customer acceptance.
- Act as an escalation point to resolve vendor hardware, software, and application problems associated with recommended products and services.
- Assist Cloud Connectivity Engineers who require design guidance.
- Organize resources required to successfully accomplish projects and organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with various departments within and outside the company to ensure overall order coordination success.
- Possibly spend around 25% of work time traveling.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in Telecommunications Circuit Design Engineering or Analysis.
- 4+ years in a Sales or Solutions Engineering role.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of telecom principles and concepts.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with industry personnel, vendors, sales, service delivery, and engineering personnel.
- Requires a broad range of skills within a professional discipline to perform complex assignments; demands familiarity with theories, concepts, network principles, established procedures, policies, and practices.
- Highly organized, motivated, self-sufficient, and desiring to win.
- Strong customer service and technical support skills coupled with problem-solving, trouble-shooting skills, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Advanced knowledge in architecture design and configuration of networking equipment including OSI model service design with a focus on Ethernet and IP architectures, VoIP Network protocols, and designs (SIP, MGCP, SBC, etc), IP4 and IPv6 addressing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio.
