Glass Industry Trade Assistant Position

Our organization is seeking a motivated and skilled trade assistant to join our glass industry team. As a trade assistant, you will work closely with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality results in door and window installations.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in the glass industry.

  • Assist in preparing surfaces for glazing by removing broken glass and mirrors, and smoothening edges on grinding or bevelling wheels.
  • Fit glass into timber, steel, and aluminum frames using putty, chemical compounds, or rubber strips.
  • Assemble and secure parts of pre-made glass units such as shop fittings, display cases, and aluminum frames.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and teamwork skills, be physically fit for heavy lifting, and have the ability to take direction and show initiative.
