About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer to support AWS environmental compliance in Australia. This role will ensure standards and policies align with regulatory requirements, providing guidance to regional operations teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external partners, including government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assess and support compliance with national and local environmental regulations, contractual obligations, and internal Amazon policies.
  2. Support business growth through environmental due diligence reviews and permitting assistance.
  3. Play a key role in regional environmental programs by integrating with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
  4. Maintain and ensure compliance with implemented Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering/science, geology, geography, biology, chemistry, or related field of study with 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience in environmental compliance, auditing, permitting/reporting, waste management, and environmental management systems.
  • Broad knowledge of Australian environmental regulations and licensing requirements.
