As an Orthopaedic Physiotherapist, you will be working within the orthopaedic stream where the current clinical vacancy exists within the areas of Orthopaedic Cerebral Palsy Surgery and Spinal Surgery. Some changes in clinical area allocation may occur to achieve best fit across the stream. All staff within the orthopaedic stream are involved in working across other areas of the stream at times, including inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic and musculoskeletal, orthopaedic Cerebral Palsy management, post-operative and acute respiratory care, burns, plastics, haematology, rheumatology, developmental care and aquatic therapy.
You will provide clinical care, advice and education in line with clinical guidelines and evidence relevant to the patient's conditions and clinical needs. You will also work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to establish common goals and to develop and offer best care to children and families, ensuring that patient care is integrated and effective.
- Job Requirements:
- Hold a Physiotherapy degree qualification and registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
- Have experience working in an acute tertiary and/or acute paediatric environment
- Sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills and the ability to apply these in practice
