Immersive Game World Designer

We are seeking a talented sound designer to join our audio team and contribute to the creation of engaging game worlds. As a key member of our audio team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing original sound effects, conducting live recording sessions, and collaborating closely with the team to shape unforgettable player experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and create original sound effects for various elements of our game projects, including background ambiance and interactive 3D audio
  • Conduct live recording sessions to capture high-quality foley and field recordings tailored to project needs
  • Implement sound assets in Wwise, actively developing your skills to build more complex and dynamic sound systems that enhance the overall gaming experience
  • Develop a strong understanding of audio design principles and industry-standard audio tools such as DAWs, Audio Middleware, and Live Recording Equipment
  • Regularly playtest the game to identify areas for audio improvement or opportunities for new sound design, ensuring that every detail is meticulously crafted to create an immersive atmosphere
  • Manage assigned tasks in Jira, maintain clear communication with team members, and document audio features and workflows effectively, contributing to a smooth workflow and efficient collaboration
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with industry-standard audio tools such as DAWs (e.g., Reaper), Audio Middleware (e.g., Wwise), Live Recording Equipment, Plugins, and Sound Libraries, and a foundational knowledge of sound design principles
  • Basic experience with industry-standard game audio technical tools such as Wwise, Unreal Engine, and Perforce, and introductory understanding in secondary disciplines like Sound Mixing, Voice Over Design, and Linear Audio Creation
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your audio skills, creativity, and understanding of game audio, and completed or currently pursuing a degree in Game Audio, general Audio, or a related field
  • Strong passion for game audio, keen ear for detail, and quality-driven approach, with excellent creative and problem-solving abilities and ability to work well within a team
