Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workplace Health and Safety Inspector to join our team at Comcare (Australian Government). As a key member of our Regulatory Operations Group, you will play a vital role in promoting safe and healthy workplaces across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct workplace inspections and investigations to identify and address health and safety risks
  • Provide guidance and support to employers and workers on work health and safety responsibilities and obligations
  • Develop and implement prevention programs and campaigns to promote workplace health and safety
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including employers, workers, and government agencies, to resolve health and safety issues
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of regulatory policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection) or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of work health and safety legislation and regulations
