Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Ophthalmology Specialist to join our team at the Women's & Children's Health Network. This is a casual pool position, and we are looking for someone who can provide high-quality ophthalmic care to children and young people.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions, including investigating and managing pediatric ophthalmology and ocular motility conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality ophthalmic care to children and young people
  • Investigating and managing pediatric ophthalmology and ocular motility conditions
  • Contributing to the effective and efficient operation of ophthalmology outpatient clinics
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An appropriate degree or Master's Degree qualification in Orthoptics which entitles registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board (AOB)
  • 2 years of pediatric ophthalmology experience post-qualification
  • Experience in the field of pediatric orthoptics; strabismus, amblyopia, ocular motility, refractive error and assessment of children with visual impairments

Salary Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $94,542 and $111,148, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
