About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Scheduler to join our team in Weipa, Australia.

As a key member of our maintenance planning team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining maintenance schedules that support safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

This role is critical to ensuring the effective execution of daily planned maintenance activities for fixed plant assets, aligning with safety, environmental, and operational requirements.

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure schedules are optimised and reflect real-time operational priorities.

About the Role

  • Develop, review, and revise daily schedules for planned and preventative asset maintenance activities.
  • Optimise schedules to enhance resource efficiency, minimise downtime, and comply with statutory and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and external vendors to identify and mitigate risks associated with planned maintenance tasks.
  • Use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance data.
  • Support quality execution of the schedule while identifying opportunities for improvement in future schedules.
  • Facilitate scheduling meetings and communicate maintenance priorities effectively.
  • Collect and analyse maintenance data to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • A commitment to safety and risk management.
  • Experience in scheduling or maintenance planning within heavy industry, mining, or similar environments.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Excel and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and engage with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset focused on problem-solving and improvement.
