The Role

As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the staff, overseeing the overall operation of the bar restaurant, and ensuring efficient and profitable service.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the daily operation of the bar restaurant, supervising staff, and coordinating activities to ensure seamless performance
  • Ensuring that the bar restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining its reputation and ethos
  • Responsible for the business performance of the restaurant, including maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety
  • Estimating food consumption, placing orders with suppliers, and scheduling delivery of fresh food and beverages
  • Responding to customer complaints about food quality or service
  • Advising customers on menu options and organizing table reservations and events
  • Preparing and monitoring budget reports on food and sales, as well as employee records
  • Monitoring inventory, tracking staff schedules and pay, and performing other record-keeping tasks
  • Leading, supervising, and training the waiting team to deliver top-quality customer service
  • Managing rosters and fostering engaging communication among the team to ensure adequate staffing
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to maintain a clean, organized, and stocked environment that meets daily demand, food safety, and standard requirements
  • Representing the restaurant when interacting with customers
  • Encouraging safe work practices and ensuring the safety of the team and customers

The Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Restaurant Manager
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience managing medium to large-sized restaurants
  • Strong background in menu planning, cost control, and people management
  • Excellent people and time management skills, with ability to work with international staff
  • Proven experience working with POS systems and cash handling at a store level
  • Demonstrated and verifiable prior experience
  • Full availability to work on weekends
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to balance high volume periods and peak service times
