We are seeking a highly skilled Category Management Partner to join our client, a leading local government organization, on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing strategic category plans to drive continuous improvement and value across various areas, including value for money, risk reduction, and triple bottom line outcomes.
About the Role:
In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain value and support direct service delivery to customers. You will be responsible for executing strategic category plans, coordinating and managing strategic procurement processes, and managing contractual and administrative matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic category plans to drive continuous improvement and value.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders as a trusted business partner to optimize supply chain value.
- Coordinate and manage strategic procurement processes for services/works projects.
- Manage contractual and administrative matters, including tender documentation and evaluations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in government or mid to large-scale organizations in a similar role.
- Tertiary education in a related field, such as business, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing procurement policies and procedures.
- Ideal experience in categories related to buildings, construction, capital works, and civil projects.
- Ideal experience working on projects of high value (>$100k).
