Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance in basic meal preparation and serving
  • Making tea and coffee
  • Assisting Chefs with food preparation when required
  • Working to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness
  • Checking and recording temperature of food
  • Following all Food Safety Guidelines and HACCP program
  • Assisting with deliveries of stock and stock rotation

About You

The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve. Key qualifications include:

  • Previous kitchen/servery experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of work health and safety practices
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks
  • Previous experience in aged care (desirable)
  • Willingness to work as part of a busy, friendly team
  • Strong focus, positive attitude, and is well-organized
  • Excellent communication skills
