Medical Support Specialist

Aberdovy Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential care and support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses.
About the RoleThe Medical Support Specialist will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, registered nurses, and other support staff. Your typical responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with patient consultations in various healthcare settings.
- Supporting physical examinations and assisting with routine tests and procedures.
- Providing care and support for patients with a range of illnesses and conditions.
- Helping with wound care, including applying and changing dressings.
- Providing basic first aid and emergency care under the guidance of a registered nurse or doctor.
- Educating patients on health issues and lifestyle changes.
- Monitoring patient vital signs.
- Assisting with the administration of medications and treatments as directed by a registered nurse.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring that documentation is up-to-date.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed a diploma or equivalent qualification in nursing and be registered with the appropriate regulatory body. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
