Family Violence Practitioner Role

The Family Violence Practitioner will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and high-quality support to individuals, families, and communities experiencing family violence or requiring assistance with care and wellbeing.

As a key member of the team, you will conduct risk assessments and develop individualized plans to guide responses. You will also provide information, advice, and support to clients, working closely with children, young people, and their families.

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive support services.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop tailored plans to ensure effective responses.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to clients, fostering strong relationships and trust.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as a first point of contact for clients, offering information, advice, and support.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and develop individualized plans to guide responses.
  3. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated support services.
  4. Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and best practices in family violence response.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum qualification: Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent.
  • Alternatively, relevant professional experience or a related qualification in child and family welfare.
