About our School

We provide a specialist independent secondary education to students who have experienced complex trauma and are at risk of disengaging from education.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create engaging curricula tailored to individual students' needs, enhancing their academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely feedback to support student outcomes.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to promote engagement and wellbeing in classrooms.
  • Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, focusing on their unique requirements.
  • Monitor student progress using evidence-based approaches, adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Build strong relationships with families, care teams, and colleagues to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment aligned with our school's vision: thrive, achieve, belong.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent qualification suitable for teaching.
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and High Impact Teaching Strategies.
  • Able to create safe and inclusive learning environments using positive, trauma-informed strategies.
  • Experience developing diverse curricula tailored to students' needs.
  • Ability to assess, monitor, and report student progress using data-driven methods.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff.
  • Possess commitment to our values: child safety, diversity, and inclusion.
