Platform Engineering at CommBank

At CommBank, we’re looking for skilled Platform Engineers to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our platforms and tools. Your expertise will help make life easier for our product engineers, and you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving stability issues to increase system resilience and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop platforms and tools that streamline processes for our product engineers
  • Implement technology stacks and integrations using infrastructure as code principles
  • Troubleshoot and resolve stability issues to improve system reliability
  • Focus on automating deployments, testing, and repetitive tasks
  • Collaborate with the team to evolve the platform and deliver better experiences
  • Share knowledge and create documentation for the team
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers

Requirements:

  • Experience in platform engineering, software engineering, or systems engineering
  • Cloud certifications in AWS or Azure are a plus
  • Deep knowledge of technology concepts and stacks
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
  • Scripting and programming skills, and a desire to learn new languages
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated track record of being kind, curious, and humble
