Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commis Chef to join our energetic kitchen team. As a key player in our culinary success, you will assist our chefs by preparing and cooking meals across various outlets, from breakfast and dinner to room service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals across various outlets
  • Handle mise en place, monitor stock levels, and ensure that all food is stored and managed to the highest health and hygiene standards
  • Efficiently manage your section, maintain rigorous stock rotation, and ensure every dish meets our top-quality standards
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve exceptional service and culinary excellence

Requirements

  • Trade qualifications and previous experience in the hotel industry preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety requirements
  • Service-oriented with an eye for detail
  • Time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • Full working rights, sponsorship is not available
