Regional Cardiology Specialist

This dynamic role in cardiology combines clinical practice and leadership, offering a unique blend of responsibility and challenge. As a cardiologist, you will be responsible for managing cardiology consults, diagnostics, and interventional care, while overseeing the Coronary Care Unit and Cardiac Investigations Unit.
The position includes collaborative work across departments and facilities, active involvement in service planning, and teaching responsibilities through links with the University of Queensland. It supports both clinical excellence and strategic innovation, providing opportunities to mentor junior staff and shape the future of cardiology services in a regional setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage cardiology consults, diagnostics, and interventional care
- Oversee the Coronary Care Unit and Cardiac Investigations Unit
- Collaborate with departments and facilities
- Active involvement in service planning
- Teaching responsibilities through links with the University of Queensland
- Hold the FRACP – Cardiology
- RACP Advanced Trainees eligible for fellowship within 6 months
- Specialist training assessed by FRACP and found to be substantially comparable / interview date confirmed
