About the Role:

  • Provide intensive, in-home support to families facing complex challenges.
  • Help parents build stronger relationships with their children and keep families safely together.
  • Work directly with families experiencing difficulties, building trusting relationships with parents and carers.
  • Support families to strengthen their parenting skills, improve family functioning, and create safer environments for their children.

Requirements:

">
  • Hold relevant qualifications and experience as a Nurse, Social Worker, Psychologist, Senior Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Counsellor.
  • Experience working with vulnerable families, children, and young people, preferably in family preservation or child protection settings.
  • Understand the impact of violence, abuse, and neglect on children and families, and apply a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based approach.
  • Skill at building trusting relationships with families, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning to enhance practice.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and ability to manage complex and challenging situations with professionalism and compassion.
