About the Engagement

We are seeking an experienced EPC Core Network Engineer to join one of our IT clients in Perth for a Mining project. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing advanced level support for Cisco LTE EPC networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level support for Cisco LTE EPC networks, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Participate in an on-call roster to ensure seamless support during critical periods.
  • Identify and analyze problems with existing network communications systems, determining the most effective solutions to reduce, eliminate, and avoid current and future issues.
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly routine tasks to optimize network availability and performance.
  • Configure, commission, and maintain availability for LTE communications devices, networks, and systems, ensuring seamless interconnectivity with equipment from different manufacturers, service providers, and users.
  • Collaborate with LTE RAN, IP, and Transmissions teams to optimize performance and ensure network communication systems meet the required standards.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide technical expertise, analysis, and support for the ongoing management of the communications network in accordance with Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) and service agreements.
  • Monitor access to network communications services to ensure they are secure and maintain up-to-date information about configuration items and their associations required to deliver network communications services.
  • Assist the LTE EPC SME in tasks related to network improvement, upgrades, and other initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in LTE Network communications based on GTP, Diameter, IP, Radius, HSS, MME, SGW, PGW, signalling trace/analysis, IMS, and VoLTE.
  • Experience with configuring and managing Cisco UCS.
  • Expert-level resolution and root cause analysis of complex network communications incidents.
  • Provisioning and configuration management experience of new LTE communications equipment and sites/services.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.
  • Knowledge in Automation/Scripting (desirable).
