As a Graduate Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering programs to achieve specific student outcomes. You will teach a range of students/classes and be accountable for the effective delivery of your programs.

The primary focus of this role is on further developing your skills and competencies to become an effective classroom practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver programs to achieve specific student outcomes
  • Teach a range of students/classes and be accountable for the effective delivery of your programs
  • Develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn
  • Monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice
  • Provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community

Selection Criteria - Graduates:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the capacity to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to respond to student learning needs
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to reflect upon practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching
