Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Legal & Ethics Counsel to join our team in Barangaroo. As a key member of our legal and ethics team, you'll play a critical role in identifying and advising on legal, compliance, and ethical risks and evolving requirements, particularly in the healthcare and corporate regulations space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a business partner to manage legal issues, provide insights, and deliver tangible solutions.
  • Provide high-quality, strategic, effective, and efficient legal advice and support.
  • Support continuous improvement of internal practices, policies, and procedures consistent with the wider legal and healthcare compliance environment.
  • Advise on emerging legal and healthcare compliance matters, practices, issues, and trends.
Requirements
  • Be degree qualified in law and hold a current legal practicing certificate for New South Wales or have the eligibility to immediately apply for such certification.
  • Have extensive post-admission legal practice experience, supporting companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, or a highly regulated industry.
  • Have significant knowledge of the laws affecting the pharmaceutical industry, including the National Health Act, Competition and Consumer Act, and Privacy Laws.
  • Be able to effectively drive discussions and decisions toward desired outcomes with strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
