Agricultural Ecologist

We are seeking a Research Scientist to contribute to our ongoing project focusing on ecological risk assessments in nonurban landscapes. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating hydrological measurements, contaminant concentrations, microbial profiles, and land use data to identify contaminants of concern and assess their toxicity and ecological risks.

This research project aims to address key questions related to the impact of flood events on ecosystems. By linking observed concentrations with ecotoxicological thresholds for relevant species, we seek to understand and predict ecological risks during such events.

• What are the ecological risk profiles for key flora & fauna species in flood-affected nonurban landscapes?
• How can land use, hydrological data, & contaminant profiles be used to understand and predict ecological risks during flood events in nonurban landscapes?
• How do flood-driven microbial dynamics inform environmental risk assessments for antimicrobial resistance (AMR)?

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, expertise in environmental sciences, and experience with data integration and analysis. Strong communication skills are also essential for presenting findings to stakeholders.
