We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in the ACT, QLD, SA, and VIC.
The successful candidate will work within the Integrated Cyber Risk Management section, undertaking cyber risk assessments of key technology components and systems. A strong understanding of cyber security controls protecting Government ICT Systems, processes, and information is essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with risk and information security frameworks, policies, and standards, including the Federal Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Manual (ISM), and international standards (ISO 27001/2).
Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber Risk Assessments: Identify, test, and assess applicable security controls in line with the Australian Government PSPF, ISM, and agency policies and guidelines.
- Security Risk Analysis: Analyze and document security risk, recommending treatments and modifications to security practices and procedures using expertise and technical knowledge.
- System Authorisation: Contribute to the system authorisation program of work, system projects, and programs, developing or reviewing security artefacts, including Threat and Risk Assessments and System Security Plans.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage, develop, and support complex relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area goals.
- Service Delivery: Manage and maintain agreed service levels.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Risk and Information Security: Extensive demonstrated experience with risk and information security frameworks, policies, and standards, including the Federal Government PSPF and ISM, and international standards (ISO 27001/2).
- Security Threat and Risk Assessment: Demonstrated working experience in security threat and risk assessment and development of security authorisation artefacts.
- Complex ICT Environments: Demonstrated security experience within complex ICT environments.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate security concepts to non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing.
- Cyber Security Trends: Understanding of global Cyber Security trends, attack vectors, and techniques.
- Federal Government Experience: Demonstrated experience in Federal Government.
Salary Estimate: The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $180,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
Residency Clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1, be an Australian Citizen, and reside in the ACT, QLD, SA, or VIC.
