**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Allied Health Assistant to join our team.
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver exceptional care to our residents in Residential Aged Care settings. Your time will be divided between clinical and administrative duties.
Our award-winning Plena Care Pathway is designed to provide tailored therapy programs for our residents, built from their goals and priorities. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our therapists in delivering high-quality services.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting with the delivery of physiotherapy services in accordance with our operating procedures and policies.
- Servicing RAC clients as per the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
- Transporting residents to and from therapy sessions under the direction of the physiotherapists or occupational therapists.
- Setting up and packing away the physiotherapy gym area, including cleaning equipment.
- Collecting referrals and completing administrative tasks as guided by the physiotherapists.
- Ordering prescribed equipment.
- Leading exercise groups or programs.
- Supporting initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.
- Consulting with physiotherapists or occupational therapists regarding adaptations, changes, or progressions to treatment plans for clients.
- Participating in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with our policy and procedure.
