Job Description

The role of Director Networks And Pipeline Policy involves leading the stewardship and reform of NSW's economic, competition, safety, and technical policy frameworks for electricity networks and gas and fuel pipelines.

  • Steward policy frameworks to facilitate the energy transition in NSW.
  • Provide expert advice to inform NSW positions on national energy reforms.
  • Deliver interventions to support priority infrastructure projects that maintain system security in the short to medium term.
  • Oversee teams managing legislation, regulation, and implementation of network and pipeline policy.

A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the energy sector and experience in government or regulated infrastructure portfolios.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A background within electricity or gas supply infrastructure development, strategy, or regulatory affairs.
  • Experience in government, market bodies, or regulated infrastructure portfolios with a passion for advancing the energy transition.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and complex portfolios.
  • Direct experience in network or pipeline development, energy policy, or project delivery.
