Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced retail leader to oversee the network of stores in the North West Sydney area as a Retail Area Manager. This role is vital to continuing the revenue growth of the stores within the area through effective sales strategies and other development initiatives. The successful candidate will work with diverse retail teams to provide customers with excellent shopping experience.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leading, growing, and developing high-performing teams of paid employees and volunteers
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided to every customer, every time
  • Embedding outstanding operational and visual merchandise standards
  • Meeting and exceeding sales and KPI performance of the stores
  • Championing the voice of the donor by upholding the highest standards in product sorting, pricing, and placement
  • Building and supporting the volunteer workforce and engaging with the local community
  • Role-modeling a 'safety first' culture in stores

Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, and/or retail, with significant experience working in the management of large retail outlets
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully leading retail and supply chain operations
  • Proven people management skills, including leading, motivating, coaching, and developing teams
  • Financial acumen and experience in managing P&L
  • High-level understanding of current issues facing the retail sector and not-for-profit industry
  • NW driver's licence and ability to travel across the region
