We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day transport operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, full, and safe deliveries, as well as maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of transportation professionals to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all transport operations run smoothly, safely, and on time, adhering to Metcash's SHE systems and regulations.
- Fleet Maintenance: Oversee regular vehicle checks, maintenance, and repairs to ensure fleet reliability.
- Customer Service: Build strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and resolving any transportation issues promptly.
- Problem-Solving: Investigate and develop action plans to address delivery challenges and improve processes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals.
- Fleet Management Experience: A solid understanding of transportation regulations, compliance, and safety procedures.
