We are seeking a seasoned Project Operations Manager to lead our operations in the Hunter Valley Region.

About Qube Bulk

Qube Bulk provides mine to market and mine resupply solutions. We handle over 85 million tonnes per annum of various bulk ores, concentrates, mineral sands, salt, coal, and dangerous goods.

Job Description

This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of daily operational activities and workshops. You will build and maintain a strong relationship with our customer and local community.

You will report to the Regional Manager Mining Services and focus on leading day-to-day haulage and workshop activities, communicating and reporting to the customer, driving safety initiatives, managing the workforce, and delivering profitable results for the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and implement safety initiatives to ensure compliance with HSSE requirements
  • Conduct on-site risk assessments to ensure customer sites and company activity comply with HSSE requirements
  • Ensure depot compliance and HSSE requirements are being met
  • Lead a team to manage customer inventories within legislative requirements and contractual obligations
  • Plan and manage production to meet customer requirements
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new employees
  • Build relationships with stakeholders (employees, customers, and peers)
  • Identify cost management initiatives to improve commercial outcomes
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within the Transport and Logistics industry, preferably in the resources sector
  • Exceptional safety leadership qualities
  • Broad people management skills
  • Demonstrated customer relationship building skills
  • Outstanding commercial and financial acumen
  • Familiarity with profit and loss accountability at contract or branch level
  • Superior communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work across the division
  • Excellent attention to detail
About the Role

This position offers an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
