Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Triage Nurse Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise in triage services, assessing patient symptoms, and communicating with physicians. You will also schedule patient appointments, coordinate emergency transfers, and administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish positive first impressions with patients and customers, advocating for their needs and preferences.
- Triage all incoming telephone calls and electronic messages, prioritizing and resolving issues effectively.
- Document all communications in the electronic medical record, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist in obtaining appointment for patients with specialists within Northwestern Medicine.
