About the Role

Monash Health is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Art Therapist to join our Allied Health Mental Health Graduate Program. As an Art Therapist, you will work with consumers, carers, and families to provide evidence-based care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Art Therapy services to consumers, carers, and families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform care planning
  • Provide education and support to consumers, carers, and families
What We Offer
  • A 12-month graduate position with 6 monthly rotations in areas of child, youth, adult, and older adult Mental Health
  • One full day of protected learning time per week, comprising self-directed learning and facilitated learning activities
  • Minimum of 4 hours of clinical educator contact per week to support applying learning in practice
  • Multiple supervision spaces, including fortnightly 1:1 clinical supervision and multi-disciplinary group clinical supervision
  • Mentoring/buddy support
  • Professional Development led by multidisciplinary Monash Health Allied Health Mental Health Educators
Requirements
  • Two-year Post Graduate degree or Masters in Art Therapy or Creative Arts Therapy
  • Eligible for Professional membership of Australian, New Zealand, and Asian Creative Arts Therapies and Association
  • Australian working rights
  • Genuine interest in beginning and developing your allied health career in mental health care
