Training Program Duration: 12 months

Contract Term: 3 Years in accordance with the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement

Post-Training Placement: Assistance in securing a suitable position within SA Health following the training program.

Role Overview:

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will take on the supervised clinical management of patients under the guidance of the Clinical Pharmacology team. Your involvement will include participation in the Multidisciplinary Ambulatory Consulting Service, focusing on the management of patients with complex medical conditions. You will play a significant role in assessing and treating patients, gradually taking on clinical responsibilities while providing timely emotional support to their families.

Your responsibilities will also encompass educational roles for medical students, pharmacists, and other clinical personnel, as well as contributing to medication governance through committees. Engaging in clinical research will be a fundamental aspect of your role, as it is integral to Clinical Pharmacology. Essential Qualifications:

Successful completion of the Royal Australasian Fellowship (FRACP) exam, both written and clinical, is required. You must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner. A demonstrated proficiency in clinical pharmacology, coupled with a commitment to quality improvement and safe practice, is essential. You should be adaptable to change and open to constructive feedback from senior staff, thriving in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
