Job Title: Specialist Psychiatrist Positions - Multiple Opportunities

We are seeking highly skilled Specialist Psychiatrists to join our team in providing comprehensive mental health services to the community. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Description:

The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide contemporary and comprehensive specialist psychiatry services at primary facilities and other locations as required. The ideal candidate will have recent clinical experience in Psychiatry, with accreditation as an ECT provider or willingness to work towards same for adult related specialties.

The Specialist Psychiatrist will be responsible for delivering a range of services including Adult Inpatient, Adult Community, Consultation Liaison, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The position requires effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

In addition to their clinical expertise, the successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to quality improvement activities, provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines, and participate in research initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Psychiatry at the role delineation of the service
  • Accreditation as an ECT provider or willingness to work towards same for adult related specialties
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
