Job Overview:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects. You will design, develop, and deploy large-scale data architectures, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Hadoop and Teradata. Your experience in solution design, solution governance, and end-to-end Big Data solutions using Hadoop ecosystems will be invaluable to our team.
About the Role:
- You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data strategies.
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses that meet the needs of our customers and business partners.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to integrate diverse datasets from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for data architecture, quality, and security.
What You'll Need:
- Demonstrated expertise in data modeling techniques such as Data Vault, Kimball, 3NF, and dimensional, star, and non-dimensional schemas.
- Proven ability to produce conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Experience with Cloudera Hadoop and Teradata platforms, including Hive, HDFS, Pig, HBase, Flume, Kafka, Sqoop, YARN, Impala.
- Strong understanding of machine learning libraries and model development, including Jupyter notebooks.
- Familiarity with Scala, ANSI/ISO SQL, AbInitio graph, Java, and Python programming languages.
