Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Provisional Psychologist to join our team at a reputable healthcare provider. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual currently pursuing registration as a psychologist, offering hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Psychological Assessments
    • Utilize a range of diagnostic tools and techniques under supervision.
  • Provide Therapeutic Interventions
    • Deliver counseling services to clients, in alignment with evidence-based practices.
  • Treatment Planning and Case Formulation
    • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the needs of each client, with guidance from a supervising psychologist.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration
    • Engage in case discussions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Client Records and Confidentiality
    • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in regular supervision sessions and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology and eligibility for AHPRA registration.
  • Experience or interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs.
  • Experience or interest in providing clinical and/or behavior assessment, intervention, and support in the disability, out-of-home care, and/or other relevant sectors.
  • Strong interest in developing clinical skills and gaining practical experience in a supervised setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
