The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for enhancing fiscal and financial stability, accountability, and integrity within the District of Columbia government.

We are seeking a specialist to join our team in the Office of Financial Operations and Systems, focusing on District Integrated Financial System support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing financial transactions/data enterprise-wide to prevent errors and fraud, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and internal control requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing financial transactions and documentation for accuracy
  • Performing analysis of large datasets to identify trends and patterns
  • Developing metrics and standards to monitor compliance processes
  • Conducting oversight reviews
  • Collaborating with business units to address observations

REQUIREMENTS:

Four years of progressive experience performing related duties, such as employing data discovery techniques, analyzing complex financial data, developing performance-based metrics, and making recommendations to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance.

Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud and Oracle EPM Cloud or Oracle EBS and Hyperion is preferred.
