Job Title: Mental Health Drug Alcohol Clinical Nurse Educator

The Far West Local Health District is seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team in Broken Hill. This role plays a vital part in promoting innovative practice and supporting the growth of colleagues within the mental health, drug and alcohol portfolio.

Requirements

  • Current Authority to Practice as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Holds a relevant clinical or educational post-registration qualification or 3 years of clinical experience in mental health nursing and education.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of teaching and facilitation in adult learning principles within the healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills, in individuals or group settings, using the practice development framework.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment processes.
  • Computer literacy including planning documents, reporting schedules, and Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Word; ability to retrieve data from hospital systems to inform educational resource development.
  • Clean and current driving license and the ability to travel as required by the role.
