Administrative Support Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic health environment, providing a high-quality administrative service to clients, staff, and visitors. As an Administration Officer, you will be responsible for providing reception services, admission and discharge of patients, preparing and running client information reports, word processing/data entry, medical record administrative services, and providing clerical/administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a reception service, including answering phone calls and responding to emails
  • Admit and discharge patients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information
  • Prepare and run client information reports, utilizing data entry and computer skills
  • Provide medical record administrative services, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Offer clerical/administrative support to the team, prioritizing workloads and performing tasks with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • A solid background working in a reception and medical records department
  • Well-organized with a keen eye for detail, able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proven competence in the preparation of medical casenotes, reflecting good data entry and computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting

About the Role

This is a casual position, working up to 1/4/2025, with a 7-day roster. The successful candidate will be part of the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, working in a fast-paced health environment.
