We seek a Communications Specialist to drive awareness and engagement around the Lake Illawarra Coastal Management Program (CMP). Your role will highlight the importance of preserving natural values and preparing communities for climate change.

• Develop targeted communications strategies aligned with Council's environmental priorities.
• Create compelling content for web, social media, and print that showcases the CMP.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to foster community participation.
• Support media relations and contribute to broader communications efforts.
• Analyse engagement data and inform strategy and decision-making.

You're a skilled communicator with a passion for the environment and experience in turning complex ideas into engaging stories. We seek someone with:

• Experience or a degree in communications, engagement, or environmental storytelling.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills to craft clear messages for diverse audiences.
• Digital content creation expertise to bring environmental initiatives to life.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and build meaningful relationships.
• Strategic thinking and project management abilities to deliver impactful campaigns.
