Job Opportunity

This role involves the implementation of a portfolio prioritization framework and provides expertise to enhance investment planning and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will interpret relevant frameworks and methodologies to develop practical tools for prioritization.
  • Advice will be provided on infrastructure portfolio planning, including demand forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and program balancing.
  • Senior executives and government stakeholders will be advised and influenced through workshops and briefings.
  • Organizational capability will be built by developing tools, templates, training, and guidance material.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders across ISD is required to embed evidence-based prioritization practices.
Requirements
  • A hands-on professional who can effectively engage with frontline staff through to senior executives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for presenting complex ideas clearly.
  • Proven ability to design solutions, drive results, and manage change is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges in large organizations, are required.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and manage conflict, are essential.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in asset management, project management, infrastructure planning, business, economics or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in government infrastructure investment planning or capital portfolio management is desirable.
  • Experience working in complex organizations or government agencies is preferred.
  • A background in public sector reform, business transformation, or applying prioritization and decision-making frameworks in infrastructure or planning contexts is advantageous.
