Operations Supervisor - Logistics and Warehouse Manager

About the Job

The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing the safe, efficient, and effective operations of logistics, facility upkeep, wash pad facilities, and tool stores. This position reports to the Area Manager – Customer Service and Logistics and is responsible for ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations for all inbound and outbound logistics movements.

This position leads by example, consistently demonstrating company values through actions, decisions, and behavior. The successful candidate will oversee tool store and material handling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and alignment with strategic objectives.

The Operations Supervisor will develop team capability in materials handling, including safe and effective loading and unloading of machines and parts. They will provide operational support to service teams, including tool delivery, machine inventory management, and crane operations.

The role also involves managing tool store inventory, calibration, and storage practices, driving continuous improvement and service quality. Assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and fostering accountability are essential responsibilities of this role.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate IV or higher qualification in Leadership, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in operations or warehouse leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to analyse data across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Experience interpreting CAT systems and managing order tracking to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills with a track record of handling challenging situations effectively.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal capability.
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office Suite and internet-based applications.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a focus on meeting internal and external customer needs.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
