Sales Assistant Job Overview
">- A dynamic sales assistant position is available in a busy retail store. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that their section is adequately stocked and well-presented, with excellent customer service skills.
About the Role
">- The main responsibility of the sales assistant is to ensure their section is stocked and presented in an attractive manner.
Responsibilities
">- To maintain a strong culture of safety at all times.
- To undertake departmental procedures as per standard.
- To provide effective communication and ask questions if unsure.
- To offer customer service to valued clients, efficiently and accurately.
- To maintain high merchandising and presentation standards throughout the work area.
- To stock, replenish, and rotate shelves and displays, prioritizing rotation.
- To keep the working area clean and tidy, containing trolleys, ladders, and boxes to one side to prevent trip hazards and maintain customer flow.
- To section off and clean up liquid spills immediately.
- To operate and balance the cash register.
- To maintain a high standard of presentation in uniform and self-presentation.
- To foster a happy workplace where people enjoy coming to work.
- To follow instructions from managers at all times.
- To assist with product selection when required.
- To perform cleaning duties as needed.
- To be punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic about learning new skills.
