Clinical Nurse Specialist Role Overview

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and education in our rural health setting. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate and person-centered care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical education programs to support ongoing professional development of nursing and midwifery staff
  • Partner with the Nursing and Midwifery Education team to deliver on key strategic education initiatives
  • Provide safe, compassionate, person-centered care to patients
Requirements:
  • Current Authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards and attain certification within 12 months of commencement of position
  • Credentialed in Triage and as an Advanced Life Support Instructor, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of commencement of position
  • Demonstrated three years' experience providing clinical teaching and education to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills
