Job OverviewThis role plays a key part in ensuring our facilities are safe, accessible, and welcoming for our clients, team members, and visitors.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds and facilities. Your role will involve performing routine maintenance and repairs on properties, grounds, and equipment, conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, and managing tools and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair properties, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and accessible environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
- Oversee the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including landscaping and gardening.
- Assist with setting up and organising spaces for events or activities as required.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, landscaping, or a related field (within the community services industry is desirable).
- Ability to perform physical tasks and handle equipment safely.
- Relevant certifications in horticulture, landscaping or building maintenance is desirable.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair techniques.
- High level of work ethics and professionalism with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Blue Card for Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening
- Drivers Licence
The estimated annual salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 AUD, depending on experience. As a valued member of our team, you will also receive a range of benefits, including opportunities for training and growth within the organisation.
