Job Summary

KinCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in Shoalhaven. As a Home Care Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic Assistance: Cleaning the home of older people to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating habits
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities to combat loneliness and isolation
  • Personal care, including getting customers ready, showered, and dressed for the day, medication management, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Respite and emotional support to customers and their families
  • Social support and company to appointments to promote independence and confidence
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia

Requirements

  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work
  • Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help
